As a business leader, are you being stopped in your tracks?
Do you find you work so hard, and then it just stops?
Could it be the universe reaching out and giving you a guiding hand?
As an introvert Leadership and mindset Coach I often pause, but not stop. The universe can be powerful when it wants to get your attention. Even when you believe you are being mindful, and slowing down, sometimes the universe has other plans for you.
The other day I was preparing a video for my marketing. The content was about allowing yourself to stop, and learning to read the signs before they became an illness. Then before I loaded it to my social platform, I had a coaching call with an ongoing client. Since our last session a month ago, she had taken a break, hoping to recharge. However, as soon as she left for her vacation, she fell ill and spent five days bedridden, missing out on quality time with her family at the coast. Just as she thought she was recovering, another illness struck, confining her to bed for another five days. In total, the universe had orchestrated two weeks away from work for her.
Interestingly the universe does give us signs before it lays us low. It’s very possible that you’ve been getting these signs from the universe without even realising it. Being mindfully aware of my thought process, I had to contemplate the messages that were lying underneath it all.
Before I continue I also wanted to mention that, no, all my posts moving forward are NOT going to be solely spirituality based. I usually don’t write about my beliefs of spirituality, yet I believe it is time to bring the awareness into our lives. As you may know I am now using energy clearing within my coaching practices. Whilst I have always used and believed in the power of energy, I had kept it separated from my business.
When the student is ready, the teacher will appear – Lao Tzu
So for us to hear from the universe, we need to pay attention to what you hear, see or other patterns occurring in life. Do you see monarch butterflies where you shouldn’t? Do you see white feathers along your path? When repeated messages occur, a phrase keeps being heard, or music keeps repeating. Turn inwards and ask yourself, maybe I should do that. Seek to understand, and the flow will follow.
Embracing the Unexpected
When faced with such unexpected pauses, it’s essential to embrace them rather than resist. Here are a few ways to make the most of these moments:
- Reflect on Priorities – Use this time to reassess your goals and values. Are you aligned with what truly matters to you?
- Practice Self-Compassion – Acknowledge that it’s okay to take a step back. Be kind to yourself and recognise that rest is a vital component of productivity.
- Seek Growth Opportunities – Consider what lessons the universe might be offering. How can this experience contribute to your personal or professional growth?
- Reconnect with Your Inner Self – Use the downtime to engage in activities that nurture your soul, such as meditation, journalling, or spending time in nature.
You would have heard of the saying “Your gut instinct” – the intuitive chakra is in your gut. You will feel when it is right. You are the best barometer of when you experience something it is right for you.
We all have the stories of “oh my goodness, you can’t believe what happened to me..” and because of this, maybe the time is right for you to notice the signs. When you are in alignment, and everything is connected in flow, things are always working out for you.
By embracing these unexpected pauses, we can find clarity and purpose, ultimately leading to a more balanced and fulfiling life. Remember, sometimes the universe knows what we need better than we do.
Leadership Tips for Introverts
Many of us are surprised to find later in life that we are introverts. This is particularly confusing for those who are outgoing and socially skilled.
How did we miss this all our lives? Aren’t introverts the shy, socially awkward people who dislike going out or being among other people?
The introvert revolution has shined a light on a lot of misinformation and lack of information about us. However, the stereotypes of introverts as wallflowers, computer geeks whose only interactions are online, and crazy cat ladies still abound.
For one, not all introverts are shy. Some of us are, but not all. And we don’t all choose to spend time with our cats instead of people, though some do.
So, who are we and what makes us who we are?
